When European-style Grand Prix racing hits the chilled-out city of Long Beach, it’s a bit of a culture clash. Toyota celebrated this collision of worlds by unleashing local artists to create works inspired by this cutlural friction. From a hip-hop song made up of racing sounds to the ultimate Scion FR-S street-cruising hotrod, we gave Long Beach something to talk about on race weekend.
We collaborated with renowned artist Justin Bua, to create a piece that embodies all of Long Beach culture. It’s probably one of my favorite posters.
With my dad being a mechanic, getting the opportunity to design a car was a great experience, especially with car designer, Jermey Lookofsky
